Exciting Esperance Crown Tourney for the KoJ

     The Crown Tourney hosted by our own Crown of Esperance was held on October 1st. The KoJ Estate was represented by Isis, Buck and Lord X E Ryder of the KoJ. The weather was excellent and plenty of participants were on hand for the tourney. This was an important event as those who were running for Esperance Crown for the following year would present their arguments for eligibility to all Estates of the Kingdom.

    After opening court was completed, all the populace was asked to remain behind a moment. At this point, Lord X E Ryder KoJ was called forward, and he recognized Buck KoJ for his many efforts of late in regards to the KoJ Estate. He was offered an official position of Man-At-Arms for the KoJ, and he accepted. He was called forth and swore an oath to Lord X E Ryder and the KoJ Estate by placing his hands upon HRM sword. A KoJ tabard was given as well as a green accenting to his belt to indicate the oath and new office. Huzzah to Buck KoJ!

    The Tournaments for the day were exciting as well! Buck KoJ qualified to fight Armored, and fought in tourney doing well! Buck and X E Ryder fought Shinai and Ren also, making quite a showing. Lord X E Ryder won the Shinai and Ren tourneys, and made the final round of Armored combat. The KoJ did very well all in all this tourney!

 

Imperial War Over, KoJ Estate Participates
 Septmeber 7, 2005

     The war is over! That is, the Imperial Crown War in the West is over and our Imperial Majesty elect has been chosen. The KoJ did respond to the call to war from our Crown and X E Ryder took the battlefield in armored combat. For those guests and newer members, this time of year holds a "war" scenario in which the leaders for the upcoming year are elected and determined for our re-creation of a feudal society structure. In simple terms it means a lot of fun, laughter, and jest among the the various competitions of archery, combat and arts & sciences entries to gain points for the candidate each wishes to support for the upcoming term.

    The coming months through the end of the year hold a number of exciting event opportunities for our members (and certainly any observers which attend). I strongly encourage all to read the calendar and try to attend all they can! There is a lot going on and plenty of chances for everyone to have fun!

    It is important that we focus on getting our paperwork organized for submission to our Crown, as I have requested the right to register our area as a Canton within the empire. Once again this will allow us to hold our own tournament events in which the participants and winners will gain points towards a knighthood in their area of interest. This is a good thing!    

 

The KoJ Estate Grows and Prospers

     Good morrow to our family and guests! With great pleasure, we are pleased to say we have ten members now, and this offers us the right to petition our crown for what is called "Canton Status". This essentially means we can ask the Crown of Esperance to recognize our distance from them and number of subjects (members), and grant us the right to conduct our own tournaments and events. With the expense to journey to our Crown increasing considerably of late, this is a worthy and important goal for us all in the estate.

    On Sunday July 24, Sir Donovan, a Knight Banneret of Esperance came up to assist in the training of two of our new combatants. This was a great opportunity for our new members to learn to fight from a skilled knight and proved a fun afternoon for all! Many grateful thanks to Sir Donovan for making the trek to our home lands.

    We had a nice turnout for our first event down at the park on Saturday the 6th. I want to thank all those who made the effort to come and participate, it was great to see you and get a chance to elaborate on the some of the myriad of ways you can enjoy the Adrian Empire as a hobby and exciting way to celebrate "The Age of Chivalry". We had sufficient combatants to conduct an unofficial Shinai Tourney, and do a little Renaissance fighting as well. Many thanks to all those who assisted in insuring this event went as we had planned

 

The KoJ Estate Official Web Presence Launches!

     Hail and Well Met, my brothers, sisters and guests! I welcome you to the launch of our official web presence. There is a great deal of work to be done yet, but much of what is needed has been completed. I would like to give you a quick run down of what you can find on this site and hope you enjoy your visit while here! Each section is listed below:

WELCOME: A nice introductory message about us that should help non-members better understand who we are.

NEWS: Find out the latest information on the KoJ, I will be trying to keep it up to date. .

CALENDAR: Here I will post upcoming events and any relevant information pertaining to them. If you hear of an event the KoJ should be present for, let me know and it will be posted.

FORUM: A great way to ask questions, discuss various subjects, and offer advice to other members, don't miss out on the KoJ forum.

MEMBERS: This page will list each of our members and a picture of them in some form of KoJ Blue. Feel free to send me your personal profile to post, look at others for ideas perhaps.

MANUALS: Choosing this will bring up the Manuals section of the Imperial Library of the Adrian Empire. This is where you find the New Member's Guide, Combat Manual, Archery Manual, etc.

FORMS: Also in the Imperial Library, you will find many relevant forms including Combat Qualification Cards, Membership Forms, Arts & Sciences entry forms, etc.

PICTURES: Here you can find a myriad of pictures from various events that one or more members of the KoJ has attended.

THEATRE: When you visit this page you can enjoy some motion picture clips of various KoJ events, more will be added soon.

HISTORY: All of the events, appearances and achievements of the KoJ as a whole will be documented here, and will be a nice browse of memories with our friends.
