The empire offers two types of Archery to those so inclined; Target and Combat archery. All archery in the Adrian Empire uses only period type bows of the straight, recurve and longbow varieties. Target archery is done on a 20 yard range with no limits to age for competition, and is held as part of the monthly tournaments. Combat archery is done in War Scenario type events, and requires the participant to be qualified in the type of combat the scenario is written for (such as shinai , ren or armored). There age restrictions on combat, and a 35# draw weight cap for bows in the interest of safety.
